Much like my life, this website has been an evolution. It began in 2015 as MomCred – a mom blog in partnership with my best friend. It later turned into One Angry Mother, a solo venture still written from the perspective of a working mother. One pandemic and a whole new life later, this site is now devoted to my passions: writing, food, and beauty.

It has been a lifelong dream to tell stories, both true and fiction, regardless of whether there is an audience for them. As it would be, my work is influenced by my world view. I was raised by parents who are still together after 50+ years of marriage. My father is a German Jew who served in the U.S. Navy, and my mother a Filipino Catholic. I ended up an Atheist who immigrated to the United States in 1976.

Although I began my education as a biology major in Rochester, NY, I completed my MBA and settled in the Seattle area to raise my family. After 20 years managing small businesses, the most rewarding part of my career has been the role of Executive Assistant for C-suite executives since 2014.

After a 30-year corporate career, I took the leap to retire 20 years early in September of 2025. Now I focus on my health, my family, and launching new business ventures.

Another important facet of my life: I love food! More eating it than cooking it, though having a family to feed means I had to learn to cook. Here I will share my recipes and the stories that go along with them. They are a blend of comfort food, healthier versions of same, traditions passed down from family members, others shared by friends in guest posts, and even include videos and restaurant experiences from my travels.

I hope you will explore the rest of the site as well, enjoy, share what you like, and comment. Constructive feedback and compliments are always welcome. Trolling will not be tolerated.
