TL;DR
Real AF wins aren’t the polished, Instagram-worthy moments. They’re the messy, vulnerable, sometimes-scary accomplishments that reveal our struggles and insecurities—the ones we often keep to ourselves. In 2025, I had four wins that changed my life: launching my first podcast, establishing daily self-care habits (and losing 30 lbs), retiring from corporate to build my own business, and reconciling with my husband. None of them felt “safe” to celebrate at first. All of them were absolutely real. This post is an invitation to share yours—the wins you don’t talk about, the ones that scare you, the ones that prove you’re braver than you believe.

What “Real AF” Actually Means
Real AF doesn’t mean perfect. It doesn’t mean polished, curated, or Instagram-ready.
Real AF means absolute authenticity. It means showing up as yourself without sugarcoating, without putting up a front, without pretending to be someone else.
Real AF means being beautifully flawed—just like everyone else.
And here’s why that matters: you have more in common with your community than you think. We’re all struggling. We’re all learning. We’re all figuring it out as we go.
The only difference is whether we’re willing to show that or not.
And here’s the thing: I spent most of 2025 NOT willing to show that. I had four wins that terrified me. Four wins I almost kept quiet. And it wasn’t until I started celebrating them that I realized: this is what Real AF actually looks like.
My Four Wins from 2025 (And Why I Almost Didn’t Celebrate Them)
Let me walk you through the wins that changed my life in 2025. And I’m going to be honest about why I almost didn’t celebrate them.
Win #1: I Launched My First Podcast
I launched the Productive AF podcast in 2025. And I have 16 episodes now!
Not a massive audience. Not a viral hit. Just 16 episodes of me, talking about productivity, sharing frameworks, telling stories, and interviewing guests.
Why I almost didn’t celebrate it: I wasn’t sure it was a good idea. I wasn’t sure anyone would listen. I wasn’t sure I was doing it “right.” I wasn’t sure it was worth celebrating. And maybe on some level I was doing it with the secret safety net of, “If it sucks, I’ll delete it and pretend it never happened.” 😅
Why it’s a real AF win: Because I did something I’d always wanted to try, even when I wasn’t sure it would work. And in the process, I learned so much. I learned how to record, edit, structure a narrative, tell a story in audio and video formats. I learned that I actually enjoy it. I learned that people do listen.
And most importantly, I learned that I’m capable of trying new things—even when I’m scared.
That’s the win. Not the number of episodes or subscribers. The willingness to try.
And here’s what happened next: that willingness gave me the audacity to launch two more podcasts. To keep trying. To keep learning. To keep showing up even when I wasn’t sure it would work.
That’s what Real AF looks like.
Win #2: I Established Daily Self-Care Habits
In 2025, I committed to consistent daily habits: a regular sleep schedule, nutrition planning and tracking, and exercise.
It sounds simple. It wasn’t.
Why I almost didn’t celebrate it: Because it felt like “just what I should be doing anyway.” Like, of course I should sleep enough and eat well and move my body. Why would I celebrate that?
Why it’s a real AF win: Because I lost 30 lbs and kept it off. Because my health markers improved. Because my doctors stopped being concerned about my apparent downhill slide. Because I proved to myself that I can sustain healthy habits long-term.
But more than that—because these habits became the foundation for everything else. My mental health improved. My energy increased. My mood shifted. My confidence grew.
When you take care of your body, your mind follows. And that’s a win worth celebrating.
Win #3: I Retired from Corporate to Build My Own Business
This is the big one.
In 2025, I made the decision to leave my corporate career and focus full-time on building three brands, including Productive AF.
Why I almost didn’t celebrate it: Because it was terrifying. Because it was a huge gamble. Because it affected every other area of my life. Because it had massive implications for my future. Because what if I failed?
Why it’s a real AF win: Because I didn’t just talk about it. I pulled the trigger within a couple of days. I made a bold decision and I followed through.
And that sent a message—to everyone in my life, to strangers seeing me on social media, and most importantly, to myself: I am brave. I am serious about building a business. I am willing to risk something for what I believe in.
That’s not a small thing. That’s a fundamental shift in how I see myself.
Win #4: I Reconciled with My Husband
After years of separation and conflict, my husband and I reconciled in 2025.
Why I almost didn’t celebrate it: Because it was messy. Because it took years of individual work before we could even talk again. Because I wasn’t sure it would last. Because it revealed so much about my own insecurities and fears.
Why it’s a real AF win: Because it ended years of stress and conflict. Because it redefined my identity—from “separated woman trying to do it all alone” to “married woman building a life with a partner.” Because it showed me that it’s never too late to try again.
And because it required vulnerability, humility, honesty, and the willingness to be wrong.
So here’s what I noticed: All four of these wins had something in common. They all revealed something vulnerable about me.
Why We Don’t Celebrate Our Real Wins
Here’s what I noticed about all four of these wins: they all revealed something vulnerable about me.
The podcast launch revealed my fear of not being good enough.
The health habits revealed my struggle with self-care and my body image.
The corporate exit revealed my willingness to risk everything.
The reconciliation revealed my insecurities and my need for connection.
And because they revealed these things, I almost didn’t celebrate them. I almost kept them quiet. I almost pretended they were no big deal.
But that’s exactly why they ARE a big deal.
Real wins aren’t the ones that make us look perfect. They’re the ones that reveal us as human.
And we don’t celebrate them because we’re afraid. Afraid of judgment. Afraid of being seen. Afraid of standing out. Afraid of taking up space.
But here’s the truth: your community doesn’t need you to be perfect. They need you to be real.
They need to see that you’re scared sometimes. That you try things that might not work. That you care about your health. That you make bold decisions. That you reconcile and rebuild relationships.
They need to see that you’re human—beautifully, messily, authentically human.
And when you share that? When you celebrate that? You give them permission to do the same.
So how do you find your own real AF wins?
How to Identify YOUR Real AF Wins
So how do you find your own real AF wins? The ones you don’t talk about. The ones that scare you. The ones that prove you’re braver than you believe.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Reflection Prompts:
1. What did you accomplish in 2025 that surprised you?
Not because it was big. But because you didn’t think you could do it.
2. What’s something you did that you haven’t told many people about?
Why haven’t you shared it? What are you afraid of?
3. What revealed something vulnerable about you?
What did it show you about yourself that you didn’t want to see?
4. What took courage?
Not the kind of courage that looks brave from the outside. The kind that felt terrifying on the inside.
5. What changed because of this win?
How is your life different now? How are you different?
6. What would your younger self think of this win?
Would she be proud? Surprised? Relieved?
7. What’s one thing you’re proud of that you’ve never said out loud?
This is the one. This is your real AF win.
Start here. You don’t need to answer all seven prompts. Pick the ones that resonate. Sit with them. Let them marinate. Because clarity about your wins comes from reflection, not from rushing.
Your Turn: Share Your Win
I want to hear about YOUR real AF wins from 2025.
Not the polished ones. Not the ones you’ve already celebrated a hundred times.
The ones you don’t talk about. The ones that scared you. The ones that revealed something vulnerable about you.
Here’s how to share:
- Leave a comment on this post and tell me your win
- DM or email me if you’re shy (I read every message)
- Post about it on social media and tag @productiveafbyjennfast (Instagram) or Productive AF (Facebook)
And please—be specific. Don’t just say “I lost weight” or “I started a business.” Tell me why it mattered. Tell me what it revealed about you. Tell me how it changed you.
Because that’s the real win. Not the outcome. The transformation.
And I can’t wait to celebrate that with you.
How We’re Building Community Around Real AF Wins
Here’s how we’re building community around Real AF Wins: Real AF Wins is going to be a regular celebration in the Productive AF community.
I’m going to share a win—mine or yours—and we’re going to celebrate it together.
Not because it’s perfect. But because it’s real.
Because you showed up. Because you tried. Because you were brave enough to do something that scared you.
That deserves to be celebrated.
So here’s my invitation: Share your win this week. And next week, I’ll feature one of your wins here—celebrating you, your courage, and your realness.
Because that’s what community is. It’s seeing each other. It’s celebrating each other. It’s saying: You’re not alone. You’re braver than you believe. And your win matters.
What Makes a Win “Real AF”?
Before you share, here’s what I’m looking for:
✓ Authenticity — It reveals something real about you, not just a polished outcome
✓ Courage — It took guts to do this thing, even if no one else knows that
✓ Vulnerability — It shows a struggle, an insecurity, a fear that you overcame
✓ Impact — It changed something about you or your life, even if it’s small
✓ Honesty — You’re willing to share the messy, scary, beautiful truth
That’s a real AF win.
So if you have one—share it. I’m listening. And I’m ready to celebrate you.

One More Thing
Before you go, I want to say this:
You’re braver than you believe. You’re more capable than you think. And your wins—the real ones, the messy ones, the ones that scare you—they matter.
So celebrate them. Share them. Own them.
Because that’s what being Real AF and Productive AF is all about. 💙
